A.G. Pope writes historical fiction rooted in Italy and North Africa. Her work explores war, survival, and moral fracture through intimate human stories.

Her debut novel, Of Triumph and Solitude, was developed over more than a decade of research into Italy's 1940–41 North African campaign and Italian POW life, drawing on archival sources and memoirs.

After years of living and traveling abroad, she is now based in the California desert, where she writes full time. She reads widely in historical fiction and Italian literature.
